The subject of her research is devoted to the search and analysis of extremal quasi-orthogonal bases, which are of great importance for a wide range of areas of information processing.

By the decision of the International Society of Optics and Photonics (SPIE), Ekaterina Kapranova, a student of the 4th institute, received a grant to perform scientific work in 2019. This decision was the result of Ekaterina's successful presentation in 2018 in Berlin at the SPIE Remote Sensing conference with the report "Compression and coding of images for satellite systems of Earth remote sensing based on quasi-orthogonal matrices".

The subject of her research is devoted to the search and analysis of extremal quasi-orthogonal bases, which are of great importance for a wide range of areas of information processing. Found mechanisms for searching for new classes of matrices, the existence of which made it possible to provide the formation of competitive new codes, nested code combinations, new image compression / decompression compression / decompression procedures, their masking / demasking and noise-immune coding / decoding during transmission in wireless communication channels.

We congratulate Ekaterina on the worldwide recognition of her scientific work and wish her numerous victories in scientific competitions.
